The DMAT (Disaster Medical Assistance Team) is called to the port to respond. DMAT is specialized in responding to natural disasters like earthquakes and floods. They do not have experience or training in dealing with new virus outbreaks. Hideharu Yuki, who is a leader in DMAT, and government official Nobutaka Tatematsu command the cruise ship situation at the headquarters.
